January 27 - The State of the Union vs. Reality A few days ago, Obama made his obligatory state of the union speech. As with most of these speeches given by presidents, it was full of new spending, new taxes, new government agencies, and the same old lies. Here are some excerpts: "...[Americans] don't understand why...bad behavior on Wall Street is rewarded but hard work on Main Street isn't..." I guess Mr. Obama thinks that somehow giving billions of dollars of taxpayer money to big banks and auto-makers is for Main Street. "...if there's one thing that has unified Democrats and Republicans, it's that we hated the bank bailout." Which is exactly why they passed it and have kept the deceit that it is working? "And in the last year, hundreds of Al Qaeda's fighters and affiliates...have been captured or killed..." Wow! This guy deserves a Nobel Peace Prize!!!
