Ferbruary 25th - The Storm Water Dept. Wants You(r Land)

Because the Blount County Commisson thinks you aren't to be trusted with your own property, we're stuck with the Storm Water Department regulating 5 feet on either side of any waterway on your property. But that's just half the story, not only will they take 10 feet, Storm Water Department Director, Justin Teague, wants you to pay $30 for a permit if you want to "disturb" 1/10th of an acre on your own property. You can call Mr. Teague at 681-9301, or better yet, call Mayor Jerry Cunningham at 273-5700 and let them know Blount Countians are better trusted with our resources than they are!
